I’m Lorena! I am a designer and illustrator with 7+ years of experience bringing engaging, dynamic characters to life for 2D and 3D animated productions, comics, and games. I also moonlight as a social media manager for Drawing House, an art hub where I also sprinkle in a bit of teaching magic from time to time.
I am interested in creating engaging and valuable story content for younger audiences. I see comics and animated productions not just as an entertainment source, but also as a very valuable tool to motivate youth to do better in their lives and make a difference in our world.
Throughout my career as an animation artist, I have worn many different hats. I started as a 2D animator for short films and feature productions, then later delved into storyboard and visual development. After graduating from the Digital Character Animation post-graduate program at Sheridan College, I have worked as a visual development and character artist with some of the best animation studios in Canada.
I’m all about drawing stories, but I also enjoy experimenting (or perhaps failing gloriously) in the kitchen, uncovering the city’s hidden gems, and watching hilariously terrible movies. Happy to connect with you all!
